Saratoga, NY: Today, Elise for Congress released the 10th Result in the campaign’s 100 Days, 100 Results program highlighting 100 of the critical wins that Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has delivered to the North Country.

“I worked to provide loan relief by allowing for 2020 graduates to defer their student loans for up to three years,” said Congresswoman Stefanik. “Our graduating students were hit hard by COVID-19, and I fought to ensure they will have the flexibility they need to navigate this tough time.”

Elise’s bipartisan Equity in Student Loan Relief Act will extend the temporary relief from student loan payments to Federal Family Education Loan borrowers who were previously left behind in COVID-19 relief legislation. This bill directs the Department of Education to ensure that all students who have federal student loans should have their monthly payments suspended, no matter which type of loan they have or when they borrowed the money. This relief is critical for our students who are facing economic uncertainty throughout this challenging time.

Elise for Congress will release a new Result each day through the November 3rd election to highlight the campaign’s laser focus on Real Results for the North Country.
