U.S. Rep. Elise M. Stefanik, R-Schuylerville, is one of seven congressional members to receive a 100 percent rating from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce on its annual vote scorecard for 2018.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce designates certain votes as pro-growth and rates congressional representatives based on that.
“Years of working at her family’s small business have provided Elise with a unique perspective on the challenges Main Street employers in the district face,” Nick Vaugh, eastern region manager at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, said in a news release. “Elise works tirelessly to get to know her constituents, understand the needs of her community and advocates for pro-growth policies in Congress.”
The Chamber may endorse members with a 70 percent or better record and supports members with a 100 percent record from 2018 with digital in-district advertising.
